The Composites UK operations team will be participating in a 10-mile walk, in aid of its chosen charity of the year, YoungMinds. The walk will take place on 9th December in and around the Chatsworth Estate, Derbyshire, where the team will engage in a 10-mile loop… in fancy dress. Each member of the team will be dressed as a different animal, braving the elements that December in Derbyshire will bring.
YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity fighting for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. It makes sure that young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties.
Claire Whysall, Communications Manager at Composites UK, says: “Having chosen YoungMinds at the start of the year, our plan was to fundraise for them through our networking events. For obvious reasons that hasn’t been able to happen so we wanted to do something to support them, particularly in a year where we’ve all faced unprecedented circumstances.
“The team is looking forward to spending some socially distanced time together in the outside world rather than via Zoom. Hopefully the Derbyshire weather will be kind to us and give us a clear, crisp Winter day.
“If you’re able to support us by making a donation we’d be so grateful. If not, we’d love it if you could share details of the walk across social media. Any support is very much appreciated.”
